My name is Emily and I'm really good at shopping. Some people are great at math. Others are amazing actors. Some folks are talented gardeners. I just so happen to be a very gifted shopper. I can breeze through malls with a mission in mind, scooping up clothing, shoes and accessories to form the perfect outfit. Labels? I love 'em. Designers? I dig 'em. A good sale? I'm sold.
My obsession started early. I received my first credit card at the age of 13 (don't judge my parents). That's when the wheels started turning. My mother was no longer in control of my wardrobe. I had the ability to pick my own outfits. And I had purchasing power.
Now I'm in my 20s. I have a college degree from a world-class institution (I guess you could say I'm a smart cookie), a fantastic job in the marketing and advertising industry (me, helping companies SELL their products and services... no) and a lot of friends who also enjoy shopping (we run in packs).
My knack for shopping leads me on many adventures throughout the United States. By age 18 I knew the address of every important store on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Bloomingdales; 900 North Michigan. Burberry; 633 North Michigan. An obsession this over-the-top could only lead to one thing: starting a blog.
The subjects I normally write about revolve around shopping and great ways you can spend your money, but I'm always delving into things like relationships, unusual happenings and everyday girl stuff. I've always got a story or two to share (my life borders on the bizarre). So kick back, prop up your Louboutin-clad feet and take a peek inside the life of the pretty and the poor.
